Fourth processing applications in the first quarter

First, pay attention to explore BOPE
BOPE was introduced in the annual meeting of the Plastic Products Packaging Committee of the China Packaging Federation in 2008. So we began to pay attention to the development of BOPE, including the Symposium on BOPE composite film bags held by the Plastic Products Packaging Committee of China Packaging Federation and Mitsui Chemistry, Deguan and Foshan Plastic Oriental Co., Ltd. in Huangshan Yongxin in 2009. Since then, samples of BOPE films have been collected, and the properties of BOPE films have been tested and analyzed.

Since the second half of 2016, it has been engaged in ultra-thin PE printing and subsequent processing and production. It has also been looking for better coverage of printed and composite and post processed BOPE films.


Two. Advantages of BOPE thin film
Printability: In terms of usage, BOPE material characteristics printing performance should be basically close to the CPP color performance. In plate making, the dimension of plate roll expansion and color accuracy control, basically close to CPP, OPP.

Tearability: In addition from the film performance, BOPE has the following advantages, in addition to good printing, tearability is better. When tearing is not like our traditional CPE or traditional PE, the straightness is better when ripped.

High transparency: BOPE has an excellent feature of high transparency. From the fog detection, the general PE fog should be about 15% - 20%, BOPE film fog about 5% - 7%.

Flexibility: BOPE has a great advantage because it has good flexibility. After all, it is produced by metallocene LLDPE. After thinning, it is relatively flexible to use as a single film or composite film. It is suitable for packaging similar to sanitary materials and maternal and infant products.


Three, BOPE film processing problems
3-1. About the way of heat sealing.
Some users may find it difficult to use the BOPE thermal seal, especially the wrinkling problem. In fact, this is mainly depends on the way of heat sealing. If using fuse sealing, BOPE and PE composite, single PE composite PE, with fuse sealing, its sealing strength is relatively high, and there is no obvious wrinkling problem. If BOPE and PE are combined by hot pressing and flat sealing, because its surface is still PE, its heat resistance is not good, will produce a very wrinkled seal, there will be wrinkling phenomenon. Therefore, it is not recommended to directly use hot-pressed flat seal, or to recommend the use of fused seal, depending on the specific product requirements.

3-2. Temperature rising of hot seal coat.
Some users may react to the problem of how to use BOPE film to heat seal and how to seal up the temperature. On the one hand, the increase of heat sealing temperature should be discussed from the film production enterprises and metallocene LLDPE raw material research and development units, select better heat sealing properties of raw materials particles, at the same time, because of thinning, the overall heat sealing temperature is still reduced, such as the original PET composite 80um PE.

3-3. Is BOPE film unwinding?
BOPE thinning, then BOPE film will not have the phenomenon of rolling adhesion? During the observation, it was found that the film stiffness was better after biaxial stretching. After the stiffness was better, there was no adhesion, and the sound of tearing and tearing was smoother after unwinding.

3-4. the future market will bear the price problem.
About the future price of thin film? Privately communicate with film manufacturers, such as the current price of similar products may be around 15,000 yuan per ton. If the domestic BOPE film is about 15000-16000 yuan / ton in the future, it will be acceptable in the market.


Four, the future on-line BOPE production line proposal
First of all, we should select prospective potential users and select some industries with relatively high potential consumption. At present, Shanghai Ling Bo is doing some packaging for health materials. We see that the amount of membrane used in Wei Cai is very large. Some time ago also touched the permeable membrane, sanitary napkin and other products, see that this market is very large, especially now the permeable membrane is also thinning, so that BOPE film can play its advantages in a certain range, to find its application market.

It is a waste to change the specifications of biaxial stretching film. It is suggested that the selection of thickness specifications should be standardized. As the specification of biaxial stretching production line is wasteful, the adjustment of thickness and formula is not as easy as blowing film. It is suggested that several standard thickness should be fixed on optical film, single side heat sealing film, double-sided heat sealing film and so on. For example, 20um, 30um, 35um, 40um, 5um as a file.

BOPE stress relief, annealing problems: film production process, to pay attention to the stress relief after stretching or annealing problems. MLLDPE is not easy to be shaped after stretching, and the thermal shrinkage rate after stretching should be relatively large. Thin film manufacturers in the annealing process hope to do more in place, so as to avoid some problems in use.
